Quarta-feira dia 10/03 - fui ver a pre-estreia de um filme de acao chamado "North Face", que em Portugues quer dizer "A Face Norte" - referindo-se a parte virada ao norte de uma rochosa montanha Suica chamada Eiger. Esse filme e baseado em fatos reais e conta a historia de um grupo de alpinistas Europeus que tentavam escalar essa parte norte da montanha em 1936. O time que conseguisse chegar ao cume primeiro ganharia a medalha de ouro dos jogos olimpicos de Berlin. Na epoca, os nazistas queriam porque queriam que os Alemaes chegassem ao cume primeiro. Durante as escaladas, os alpinistas foram surpreendidos por uma mudanca no tempo que muda toda a trajetoria da escalada. Enfim.. quem quiser ler mais sobre o assunto, clique aqui! Wednesday: I went to watch the "North Face" sneak peek at REI in Sacramento - for FREE!!! :) The North Face refers to the North Face of the Eiger Mountain in Switzerland. This movie is based on true facts and it tells the story about this 1936 competition where European mountain climbers attempted to climb the north face of the Eiger mountain. Whoever reached the top of the mountain first would be awarded the gold medal for the Berlin Olympics. Of course, the Nazis wanted the Germans to win. Anyway.. I won't say much more about the movie, except that you MUST go see it. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you want more info, click here.
